Following many months of hard work, the opening evening of the exhibition finally arrives. The group are even fortunate enough to receive a visit from the Gadget Show’s very own Jon Bentley!
The eve of the launch night, and the team descend on Waterhall for three frantic hours of picture hanging.
Twelve hours from now and the exhibition will be open to the public, so everything has to go to plan.
ArtsFest, the UK’s biggest FREE arts festival, takes place on 10th & 11th September 2011.
ArtsFest features performances, workshops, exhibitions, arts markets, installations, talks and screenings across the performing, visual and digital arts genres; and showcases and celebrates the West Midland region’s most talented performers, artists and creative projects.
A fusion of Victorian architecture and contemporary design, Waterhall is an attractive and spacious venue located in the heart of Birmingham city centre. With its prime location and impressive yet modern aspect the Waterhall is an ideal venue for our exhibition.
The group has now applied for funding from the Arts Council, to support the the 2011 Exhibition “Light & Shade”
